GameCycle didn't start as a company, but as a problem every gamer knows: Over the years, games, consoles, and controllers that were once loved pile up – and then gather dust on the shelf. At the same time, perfectly functional devices are often disposed of far too early, even though they could easily continue to live on.
I founded GameCycle because I wanted to change exactly that.
As a logistics student at TU Dortmund and a working student in the Fraunhofer environment, I saw every day how efficient use of resources and circular economy can really work. At the same time, gaming has always been a part of my life – the retro look, the feeling of a freshly refurbished console that works like it did on day one.
